In recognition of Black History Month, Buchanan hosted a panel discussion exploring the impact of the Supreme Court’s affirmative action ruling and its effects on Black student admissions and job opportunities. This discussion addressed the alarming declines in Black student enrollment at various institutions while highlighting the different experiences of other colleges and law schools.

During our discussion, we will explore the importance of women’s pay equity, when and how to negotiate salary, and strategies for advocating for fair compensation. The event will include:

1. Panel Discussion – Open conversation on key aspects of salary negotiation and gender pay gaps

2. Breakout Sessions – Attendees will rotate through interactive small-group exercises led by each panelist, focusing on practical negotiation techniques and a brief Q&A

3. Final Q&A & Closing – A chance for attendees to ask final questions and reflect on key takeaways
